We have found that our addictions have robbed us of our honor and integrity. As we sank deeper and deeper into the deception of Drug Culture, loosely applied morality, lack of self-discipline, and self-indulgence, we lost our way in life. In working on our Treatment Issues, we have come to realize that in order for us to move forward, we must adhere to a new way of living. Refer to this new way as The Honorable Life. The Honorable Life is simple, decent, and honest. By living The Honorable Life, we find that our Treatment Issues can be addressed and corrected effectively, and our lives rebuilt on a solid foundation. The Honorable Life is our internal guide to realizing our full potential as mature and moral human beings. We believe that the following characteristics are essential in developing, achieving and maintaining The Honorable Life.
Living Here and Now-"Treatment Happens Now."
Personal Responsibility-"I am responsible for my future." "The decisions I make now will determine who I am
today and how my life will be tomorrow."
Social Responsibility-"I am my brother's and sister's keeper."
Moral Code of Right and Wrong Behavior-"In order to have a decent life I must act decently."
Work Ethic-"Everything I have I've earned."
There is Good in All of Us-"The inner person is good, but the behavior can be bad."
Kindness and Compassion-"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Helpfulness, Friendliness, and Courtesy-"What goes around comes around." "If you want a friend you have
to be a friend."
